Meet our Master's students - Hoàng Anh Nguyễn

Hoàng Anh Nguyễn, recipient of a SPS scholarship, is a vietnamese student enrolled in the M2 Bioceb "European Master in Biological and Chemical Engineering for a Sustainable Bioeconomy" at AgroParisTech for this academic year 2025-2026. She is deeply interested in biomass engineering and would like to have an impact on the transition to a bio-based, low-carbon economy.

Portrait Hoàng Anh Nguyễn

I chose the Bioceb program at AgroParisTech because it offers a uniquely integrated approach to bio-based engineering, combining molecular biotechnology, bioeconomy, and industrial bioprocesses. By providing hands-on laboratory training, international research internships, and courses that match my interests, this academic path supports my goal of working at the intersection of biotechnology and sustainable industrial development.

I appreciate the program’s interdisciplinary structure: Bioceb brings together biology, chemistry, engineering, and sustainability sciences. This gives me a holistic understanding of the entire value chain of bio-based products, from fundamental research to industrial application.

My experience as an international student has been incredibly enriching, both academically and personally. It strengthened my communication skills and widened my global outlook.

Living and studying in France has helped me develop a strong sense of independence, adaptability, and open-mindedness. I’ve enjoyed learning from diverse classmates, navigating new cultures, and finding perspectives that I would not have encountered at home.

For my M2 internship, I will join the DECLIC team at the Institute Jean-Pierre Bourgin for Plant Sciences (INRAE, Versailles), where I will work on engineered cell factories for the production of high-value cosmetic ingredients. I chose this topic because it will enhance my career by providing in-demand skills in molecular biology, cell engineering, and lipid analysis, while also promoting sustainable cosmetic ingredient production and supporting environmentally responsible innovation.
