Saclay Plant Sciences (SPS)
France 2030

The Saclay Plant Sciences network brings together about 60 research teams specializing in plant sciences, from 6 institutes in the Paris region, and represents almost 800 people. The research activities of the SPS teams focus on understanding the mechanisms that control plant development and physiology, and their interactions with the biotic and abiotic environment. The studies carried out are multi-disciplinary and multi-scale. They use concepts and tools from biochemistry, biophysics, imaging, molecular and cellular biology, genetics, genomics, ecology, bioinformatics and modeling, and extend from genes to plants in their natural or agricultural environments.

Publications citing SPS – May

These are the articles citing SPS published this month by the research teams in our perimeter

On May 21st, nearly 60 high school students had the opportunity to participate in a special day organized by SPS in the framework of the Fascination of Plants Day 2026 at the INRAE Center in Versailles.

The SPS teaching programs aim to train scientists capable of addressing major challenges related to plants and crop production. To this end, they rely on close ties with stakeholders in the socio-economic sector, an approach actively supported by SPS.

Karel Turquier, a French student with a Bachelor's degree in Life and Earth Sciences from the University of Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens), joined the M1 in Integrative Biology and Physiology – Plant Sciences at the Paris-Saclay University, for which he was awarded an SPS scholarship.
