Apply for the Master's in Plant Sciences

The Master's in Biology and Agrosciences “Plant Sciences” aims to train scientists capable of addressing major challenges related to plants and plant production.

Offered by the Paris-Saclay University and the Paris Cité University, this master's programme is structured as an M1 followed by a choice between two M2 tracks: the research track, which prepares students for careers in scientific research, and the professional track (“Innovation and Quality of Plant Products”), which is oriented toward careers in industry.

The Paris-Saclay University as well as the Paris Cité University have a strong international outlook. They are part of major European university networks and offer support services to welcome international students. The master's programme is also highly international, with the possibility of completing the M1 and the research track of the M2 entirely in English.

SPS supports students enrolled in the Master's in Plant Sciences by offering scholarships. Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year are now open (see the link below).

When asked about their experience, the recipients of the SPS scholarship highlight the high quality of teaching and innovative teaching methods, the variety of courses offered, and the highly international environment. Here are some testimonials:

« The most innovative aspect of this Master's program is its practical and comprehensive approach, combining theoretical classes, laboratory work, and projects based on real research questions. »
Léa Dehedin (French student of the M1 2025-2026)

« The university is a place where you meet people from very different backgrounds, which creates a rich and stimulating international environment. This promotes dialogue, understanding, and tolerance, aspects that I find very important. »
Mamour Gueye (Senegalese student of the M1 2025-2026)

« Students’ assessment is based on research projects, presentations, and analyses of scientific papers: disciplines that researchers need to master. »
« A Master entirely taught in English is a real opportunity, and the international environment is a source of personal enrichment. »
Mathilde Quinchon (French student of the M2 -  Research track 2025-2026)

« The educational approach of the program is innovative because some courses are taught directly within French companies or organizations. In addition, interactive assessment methods are frequently used to evaluate our understanding of the concepts. »
Elisée Ahoton (Beninese student of the M2 - Professional track 2025-2026)
